Cristian Bragaglio is an Italian visual artist and writer whose research operates at the intersection of abstract painting, introspective inquiry, and the written word. Deeply rooted in the concept of "spoken painting" (pittura parlata), his visual language treats text and monologues as both formal and conceptual elements, turning the canvas into a space for raw, visceral, and authentic narrative. His practice explores the dynamics of memory, temporality, and contemporary psychological archetypes, investigating the loss of wonder and the continuous search for the self.
Alongside his studio practice developing commissioned paintings for private collections across Europe, Asia, and the UAE, Bragaglio successfully explores cross-mediality and contemporary storytelling mediums. He is the author of the novel "Ho parlato di te alla luna e lei mi ha regalato le stelle" (published by Sperling & Kupfer in 2023) and the creator of "VOCE monologhi", a highly impactful digital audio and monologue project that scaled the national podcast charts.
In 2025, he was named one of the 100 most influential emerging artists of the year by BCC, launching a collaboration with BCC Arte e Cultura. His current research marks an evolution of his text-based poetry into three-dimensionality and sculpture utilizing scavenged materials.
